10: Slicing Knife - Scanpan Damastahl

This Warranty applies to certain SCANPAN DAMSTAHL Cutlery products purchased in the United States from authorized SCANPAN USA retailers.

SCANPAN products bought at auction or from private persons, including E-bay and similar web sites, are not covered by this warranty. Any warranty claim must include the retailer's name and address from which the SCANPAN product was purchased.

SCANPAN DAMASTAHL Cutlery products are covered by a Lifetime Warranty in the US.

SCANPAN DAMASTAHL Cutlery is guaranteed to be free from defects in material and craftsmanship.

SCANPAN USA Inc will repair or replace, at SCANPAN's discretion, any item found to be defective, to the original purchaser. The decision whether an item is considered defective under this warranty rests solely with SCANPAN USA Inc. Should a defective item no longer be available, for whatever reason, an item of similar function and value will be substituted. The SCANPAN Warranty is not a money-back guarantee.

SCANPAN product claimed as defective under this warranty must be sent post paid to SCANPAN USA Inc. Attn. Warranty Services, 10 Industrial Ave, Mahwah NJ 07430, for inspection and repair or replacement. Allow 2 - 4 weeks for disposition and processing of warranty claims.

The SCANPAN Warranty does not cover damage or destruction caused by misuse, abuse, accident, alteration or commercial use. This warranty does not apply if the care and maintenance instructions published in our literature and on our web site have not been followed, or if the knife has been used for other than its intended purpose. Any staining, pitting, rusting, signs of corrosion or other indications of improper care, cleaning and maintenance are expressly excluded from this warranty. Incidental and consequential damages are expressly excluded from this warranty.

SCANPAN Damastahl Cutlery will last a lifetime if properly cleaned and cared for. Follow these instructions to enjoy these fine, professional cutting tools:

Treat knives with respect and due caution to avoid accidental injury or damage to the blade.

Use soft, non-abrasive surfaces, such as wooden or plastic cutting boards, to prevent premature dulling of the knife edge.

Use the SCANPAN Damastahl sharpening steel in regular intervals to keep the knife sharp at all times. Sharp knives are safe knives!

SCANPAN Damastahl Cutlery needs to be thoroughly cleaned and dried after each use by hand. Knives that are left to sit with food or water residue could develop unsightly pits and stains.

Store knives in a knife roll, knife block or in knife inserts that are available to fit in kitchen drawers. Never store knives loose in a kitchen drawer to avoid accidents and damage to the blades.
